HIPPYTREE TIDE CALENDAR IS BACK
Persuaded by constant phone calls and emails from fans and customers asking what happened to the HippyTree tide calendar we decided it was time to bring it back after a two year hiatus. Printed on textured recycled paper with over 150 holidays and events, moon phases and tides for west coast, east coast and Hawaii. Swing by your local HippyTree dealer to pick one up for 2012. Visit our print section to view the calendar.
HIPPYTREE SIGHTING ON SURFLINE.COM
Yep, believe it or not this is a first for HippyTree. That’s Jake Tellkamp getting ready to dive into the chaos in Orange County. Shout out to Joe Foster for nabbing the photo.
OUTDOOR RETAILER TRADESHOW
Couple photos from the Outdoor Retailer Tradeshow in Salt Lake City, Utah. Many thanks to Corey Adams and compadres for coming down and playing some live tunes at the booth. And yes… those are climbing chalk bags hanging on the shelf. We are introducing HippyTree Utilities, our new accessory division for Spring-Summer 2012.
32 MILES OF FUN
Congrats to HippyTree tribe advocate James Wheatley for completing the Catalina Classic paddleboard race. 32 miles of open ocean from Catalina Island to Manhattan Beach Pier.
THE SPIRIT OF FIJI
Our friend and surf photographer Scott Winer just released a new book about the island of Tavarua. Winer has been letting us use his photos in our catalogs for a while now. The guy is an amazing photographer. To top it off he ran a photo of HippyTree tribe member Jason Napolitano dropping into a bomb. If you are looking for a beautiful coffee table book for your home visit Winer’s website and order one up.
IS THAT FOR REAL?
That’s what we said. Tribesman Matt McMullen got this inked up the other week.
DYLAN COX PERCHIN’ LIKE AN URCHIN
Poached a couple photos off Facebook of tribe member Dylan Cox doing his thing at San O. Grom can walk the nose like no other.
KIDS LOVE POSTERS
Mucho gracias goes out to tribesman Derek McKenna for kicking down all the groms with Tree posters at Beach House Classic Surf Shop movie night in Bay Head, NJ.
