POISON DART FROGS
Our friend T-bags smuggled in some Poison Dart Frogs from his trip to Columbia. Not sure how he got these little guys past customs… but it ain’t our business anyway. According to Wikipedia these amphibians are called dart frogs due to indigenous Amerindians’ use of their toxic secretions to poison the tips of blowdarts.
CANADIAN RIVER SLIDING
No, it ain’t wakeboarding… our friend Bryant DeRoy who goes to school in Canada sent us this picture. I couldn’t figure out what was going on until he told me they tied a rope to a bridge. Pretty crafty way of getting in a little shredding when the surf is flat.
MANGO MADNESS

NO ROPE NO RACK JUST SACK
That’s what the email read that had this photo attached. This is HippyTree Tribe member Matt Lloyd doing a little roadside free soloing in Colorado. Not sure how much good the little blue bouldering pad would do if he fell… but then again that’s why the email said what it said.
BIKES BOOZE AND RAIN
Booze, rain and bowling make a pretty good combo… bikes, booze and rain can be a deadly combination. Just ask our sales director Josh Sweeney, homeboy took a pretty nasty spill the other month and just about lost his ear.
BOWLING FOR HIPPIES
Did a little night bowling with the HippyTree Tribe when it was raining. Booze and bowling make a pretty good combo. We went a little overboard with the drinks and stickers and eventually got kicked out for doing some belly slides down the lane, but it was all good fun… except for the person who had to scrape the stickers off the balls.
HIPPYTREE AND COMMUNITY
I haven’t seen this show, but somebody spotted a HippyTree Cry Wolf t-shirt on the NBC show Community and sent us this frame grab. That’s Chevy Chase on the left with his head turned… too bad Chevy wasn’t wearing the tee.
COSMIC COLORING
We printed some posters of our Cosmic graphic that have been circulating around surf shops lately (see first photo below). Some people have been interpreting them as coloring posters. Whatever people want to do with them is cool with us.
