The Hermosa Beach Iron Man takes place on the 4th of July every year. It’s not your typical Iron Man… run a mile on the sand, paddle a mile on a surfboard, and chug a 6-pack. First one to finish without puking wins. The event ends with a performance by a local punk band. It’s tradition, it’s debauchery, it’s chaos. Photos by A. Sarnecki.
